The Longhorn Saloon is the pub and restaurant across the road from the Poplars Wedding Venue. Walk in under the longhorn gate, find a seat on the veranda or the lawn, and stay a while. It's a relaxed stop after a day in Parys and a good place to bring friends and family.

The story

How the Longhorn got its name

Longhorn Saloon started because a coyote in a Stetson hat walked into a bar, hopped on the counter, started dancing, and refused to get down until somebody played a song!

The bartender said no, so the coyote said she'd do it herself. A cowboy in the corner tried to help, but he made it worse, and the horse outside started complaining.

So I bought the bar and turned it into a saloon: the coyote could keep dancing, the cowboy could get the hat, and the horse could give a compliment.

The bartender gave up!

Wanted: smiles only. No frowns in this town.
